Panama City Beach Travel Guide

Hi! How are ya? In case you're new here, I'm Miranda! A fashion and lifestyle blogger from Gainesville, FL. Last year, I took a leap and organized my first blogger trip to Charleston,SC ! It was such a blast and we got the opportunity to work with some of our dream brands! In August, we went to PCB for another blogger trip. I wanted to share where we stayed, where to eat and what to do. Feel free to reference my PCB highlight on my Instagram for behind the scenes!

Our trip was first scheduled for April of this year, but due to the global pandemic we put a halt on our plans. Luckily several months into Covid many businesses started opening their doors again with guidelines that had to be followed. Therefore, with this we were able to finally travel and spend some much needed girl time while also staying safe!

Why PCB: We try to travel a few times a year, but we quickly realized we haven't traveled to a beach yet. Furthermore, since we live in Florida or better known as the sunshine state why not stay in FL for this trip. Due to the pandemic we didn't plan to explore as much as we usually would, but we did talk to a few locals that gave us great advice and recommendations. Our main focus this trip was to safely shoot content and have some fun.

Where we stayed: Laketown Wharf 1321

If you're looking for a quiet, spacious, and beach view condo then I have the perfect place for you! Our condo had 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 5 beds, living room, full kitchen, + balcony. (see images below)

The property also has many amenities for your convenience. You don't need to leave the property for anything, but if you happen to Walmart is right across the street! Here are a few of the many amenities: 5 pools, restaurants on property and across the street, covered parking garages, beach access via a 5 minute walk and lots more!

The company manages several types of properties for different owners just like the condo we vacationed in. They have homes that are for smaller families, multiple families and even pet friendly!

The App: In case you didn't know Book That Condo has a user friendly app. They make it very easy for you to book and navigate your way around the premises. Once you signed all of the paperwork to confirm your booking, they will send you instructions on how to download your app for your cell phone. The app reminds you days leading up to your trip that your condo is booked. A few things that the app sends you is reminders, check in details, address, gate code, beach access code, pictures of your condo, recommended places to eat, and a list of activities of things to do! Book That Condo has even partnered with the app Xplore where one person from your group can get a free ticket to certain local attractions in Panama City Beach. It's a great way to save money and still have fun!

The Staff: When I say the staff was great, they were so kind and welcoming to our group. We loved how easy they made the process via their app. They also gifted us a basket of goodies to enjoy during our stay. We thought it was so kind and thoughtful of them to do that!

A few things I wanted to share if you're planning to travel during Covid.

  1. Always follow all of the rules + regulations set in place by your mayor or governor.

  2. Self quarantine for 14 days before leaving just to be sure you aren't spreading the virus.

  3. Google the current events going on in the town you're traveling to so you know which part of town to stay away from that could lead to exposure.

  4. Double check your rentals cancellation policy.

  5. When you decide to check in + check out, do your best to do so during the slower hours of the day. This will also reduce exposure to strangers!

  6. The following items are strongly recommended for your trip: face masks (extras as well for backups), hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, wagon/luggage cart to make unpacking and transporting all of your items easier.

I wish yall could have seen us going from the parking garage to the 13th floor about 9 times a day. It was definitely a show lol!

Local PCB Eats:

Runaway Island- where we had dinner here our last night in PCB. We sat outside and the food was so yum. The Pour Coffee & Community- we randomly stopped here for breakfast + coffee. It was my fav food of the trip and the atmosphere was totally my vibe.
