St.Augustine Travel Guide

After all these years of going to St.Augustine for quick trips and summer vacations I thought it was time to finally create a travel guide! The latest and greatest recommendations all below!

WHERE TO STAY

I have stayed in various Airbnb rentals and beach condos over the years, but my favorite has by far been Colony Reef Club. They are located on A1A which is literally by all the prime location spots for things to do and good eats. We stayed at Colony Reef for the first time in the beginning of April and it was such a fun weekend. Although the weather wasn't the best it was still a great stay! The amenities are endless, but just to name a few there is a heated indoor pool, large outdoor pool & jacuzzi, newly remodeled gym, children's playground, sauna, indoor racquetball court, and EASY beach access and MORE! Plus during the summer they have family friendly movies on the lawn on Thursday nights, and rock painting on Friday afternoons! Check out their website to see the full list!

Below I have attached a quick condo tour from where we stayed! We had a ground level room which was honestly really nice in my book! I prefer to be on ground level for 2 reasons. 1- I have a lot of luggage lol and 2- There is nothing like waking up and walking on the patio to sit in a chair or in the grass watching the sunrise. We can't wait to visit again and crossing our fingers for amazing weather!

****Colony Reef Club is so generous and decided to give you guys a discount code for any stays that you book with them! Use code "Miranda15" for 15% off your stay!

Sneak peak of the master bedroom in condo 2102. I love the tropical fun themed bedroom! The condo we stayed in had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It could sleep 8-10 which is great and it's location is right on the beach.

WHERE TO EAT

We have visited many restaurants in the beautiful town of St. Augustine, but I have compiled a list of our fav spots!

  1. St. Augustine fish house and oyster company Our first time going was this month and it was a 10/10 so dang good! It's definitely more of a dinner spot over lunch. I would say it's casual and fancy spot since you have the option to sit inside or outside! Jordan and I both loved the grouper nuggets!

  2. Saltwater Cowboys 10/10. If you're a chicken person order the plank chicken OMG its amaze.

  3. Mango Mango's such a good casual lunch/dinner spot! They have the BEST BURGERS and honey mustard! We always order the ultimate island burger or the shrimp tacos!

  4. The Blue Hen Cafe such a cute casual breakfast spot. It's a super small restaurant so you will have to get their early to beat the crowd and get your name on the list.

  5. Kingfish grill on the water definitely more of a pricey dinner but its super nice and good food!

BARS/DAY DRINKING

  1. White Lion it's downtown and such a chill vibe. I have been a few times and love how fun the atmosphere is.

  2. San Sebastian Winery I've actually never been, but everyone raves about it! I plan to visit soon to see what all the madness is about! They offer a complimentary tour and wine tasting about every 20-25 minutes and they are open everyday which is a plus!

  3. Tini Martini Bar such a great drink spot that's located downtown. My favorite is the birthday cake martini!!

ACTIVITIES/WHAT TO DO

  1. the beach obviously :) our favorite spot for beach access is crescent beach park. Crescent beach park has a decent sized parking lot, bathrooms, grills if needed for a cookout, and a nice walkway to the beach.

  2. fiesta falls miniature golf our favorite spot for putt putt and an added bonus is at the end they offer ice cream.

  3. Alligator farm It's fun to visit for a few hours and definitely a family friendly atmosphere!

  4. Ripley's believe it or not it's at a prime location downtown which is great to walk downtown and then head there after! it's a fun place to visit, but definitely go on an off time because it gets pretty busy.

  5. Castillo de San Marcos National Monument or better known as the fort downtown. It's great to explore and maybe have a picnic in the grass.

I hope you find this helpful! Let me know if you visit and try any of these places out :)

XOXO- MIRANDA
