Walmart Makeup Haul

Hi there,

I started a poll on my Instagram story this week and Makeup won over Fashion. Honestly, I was shocked! I’m not very good at makeup like at all…. However, I’m going to give it my best shot LOL.

So last week I realized that I was almost out a few makeup necessities. I needed to get foundation, mascara, and bronzer. So like every other girl, I decided that I needed to get a few extra items that weren’t on my list. (sigh)….

THANKFULLY, I did make it out of Wal-Mart with the 3 items that I was actually going for!

Below I’ve listed all of the products that I purchased along with my honest opinion/review of each product.

Burt’s Bees Foundation This foundation looked very promising in the store. I’ve used the Urban Decay All Night Foundation for about a year, but I wanted to try something different. I swatched a little dab of it while browsing the foundations and it reminded me of the Urban Decay foundation. It feels so light on my skin and its full coverage just like the UDAN foundation which is $40. I decided to test out my new foundation for the first time when I was going to a dinner with my hubby. I really liked it. I’m so glad that it was a really good foundation that cut my foundation cost more than in half $16.

Physicians Formula Bronzer Two words. HOLY GRAIL!!! I’ve bought this exact bronzer twice before and I fell in love it the first time that I used it. The pigment is great for the price point. The formula is very smooth and it smells just like coconuts. By far my favorite bronzer EVER!

Kiss Strip Lash Adhesive  I’ve never used this eyelash glue before now, but I decided to give it a try. I’ve used a few different eye lash glue’s in the past, but nothing was great. When I tried this eyelash glue out I loved the applicator. It’s like a lip gloss brush which makes it easy to apply to your fake lashes. I liked it!!

Kiss Lashes  I’ve never used these lashes before, but I loved the natural look that they give off. I personally like my lashes to look natural, but also full. Do you know what I mean??? I’m excited to give these lashes a try! **Update- I gave it a try to I’m not a fan of these lashes. Every time I tried to apply the lashes they kept falling off. I probably re-applied the lashes like 6 times. Also, I bought these particular lashes because they said natural. Once I applied them they were dramatic, in my opinion. NOT A FAN!

L’Oreal Voluminous Primer & Mascara HOLY GRAIL!!! I couldn’t even tell you how many times that I’ve purchased this primer and mascara duo. The primer is white in color and is used to make your lashes thicker. The mascara is black of course and used to volumize your lashes. This is my favorite primer and mascara that I’ve ever tried! If you get anything on this list of products I would buy this duo!

Maybelline Matte Liquid Lip  I love lipstick! I am such a sucker for matte lip because for one it doesn’t get stuck in your hair lol. Two It doesn’t wear off quickly. I found this gem and wanted to try it out! **Update…..LOVE! I’m definitely a fan. I bought this liquid lip in the shade 05 Loyalist! It’s a true light pink sometimes I add a little bit of a brown shade on top to make it look a little more subtle.

Maybelline Eyebrow Precise Pencil For starters, I use to buy the Anastasia Brow Definer at Sephora, but honestly its expensive for an eyebrow pencil and I could use the whole thing in 2-3 weeks. I wanted to try something new and more affordable. Maybelline seemed to be a good brand to try. ***Update- It was okay. The color looks pretty good, but I wasn’t in love with the pencil itself. The pencil broke off about 4 times during the first application. The only downfall of getting makeup in drug stores sometimes is you get what you pay for!!
