Jordan and I celebrated our 3 year Anniversary last month and decided what better place to celebrate than Charleston. We took a trip to Charleston Sunday-Wednesday. Tuesday was our actual Anniversary and we wanted to be in Charleston enjoying the day. If you’re looking for a location to stay in Charleston, look no further friends!!
Our Beautiful Airbnb: Charming Downtown Apartment near Design District
For starters this location is a prime spot for all THE things in Charleston! We drove no more than 10 minutes to everything that we wanted to do. Location is KEY for Charleston TRUST ME! We stayed in Design District which is about 5-10 minutes driving and a 10-15 minute walk from downtown. PLUS with this AIRBNB you get free parking. Most hotels charge you to park your car per night which is absolutely crazy lol!
THE HOUSE
Owned by a Charleston local/resident who I am so grateful for! We stayed for 3 nights and it was the perfect amount of time! We stayed in a historic home that was made into 2 apartments that had 2 levels. We stayed in the downstairs unit which was super convenient for all of our luggage! Each level has it’s own entryway and set of stairs that makes it private if that’s what you’re looking for. The apartment had 3 bedrooms (1 king bed and 2 queens) and 2 full bathrooms. Additionally, the home has a great living room space, a washer/dryer unit, and full kitchen. A full kitchen is nice in case you decide to cook one night and not go out to dinner. You have plenty of counter space to work with to turn into Betty Crocker for the night.
We quickly realized we should have taken friends with us on this trip with all of the extra space we had. I actually ended up using one of the guest bedrooms as my try on/get ready room. I almost think I liked this unit even more than the last one I stayed in because of the actual home layout. I loved the master bedroom because of the king bed and gorgeous shower! JUST WAIT :)) The home had unique wood artwork pieces that made it country, but modern! Totally my vibe!
